Patterned tiles and painted tiles, single pieces or forming panels, the museum’s collection is representative of Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro’s tile work.
It is composed exclusively of pieces produced at the Fábrica de Faianças das Caldas da Rainha, from 1884 on, the year of its founding. Worthy of mention is the great variety of revivalist, naturalistic and Art Nouveau patterns, as well as some unique examples of painted tiles. The collection contains around 100 pieces, including individual tiles and panels.
